The sole proprietorship “Theodoros Sot. Dimitroulakos” is established on Agiou Orous Street in Votanikos, combining a craft-based character with creative passion.
The company’s first retail and distribution store opens to the public at 57 Iera Odos, just a few metres from the workshop.
As the company’s creative activity grows rapidly, the workshop is relocated from Votanikos to Kokkinos Mylos, to larger premises suitable for expanding the production process.
Successive investments in machinery enable the company to gain a significant share of the domestic metal shelving market. At the same time, the retail store moves from 57 Iera Odos to larger premises at 54 Iera Odos.
The company makes its first land purchase for the construction of privately owned facilities to house the production unit in Schimatari, Viotia, on a 4,500 sq.m. site.
Exports of ready-to-assemble packaged cabinets (DIY) begin to Germany, France and Belgium.
A second retail store opens in Nea Ionia to better serve the wider Attica region.
The company changes from a sole proprietorship to a société anonyme and adopts its current name, “TH. Dimitroulakos S.A.” At the same time, its first privately owned 2,000 sq.m. industrial facility is completed.
The company adds its first new-technology CNC punching machine to its production equipment and begins designing new systems.
The company’s second privately owned building in Schimatari becomes operational, housing two new machines: its first Salvagnini panel bender and a MicroStep plasma cutting machine.
A multi-stage roll-forming line is added to the company’s machinery for the production of pallet racking and high-bay picking shelving.
Increasing production demands drive a major investment in machinery. The company purchases a Salvagnini laser system with automatic loading and unloading for uninterrupted 24/7 operation. At the same time, it acquires a 5,000 sq.m. plot in the Thessaloniki Industrial Area in Sindos.
The head offices and central showroom in Schimatari are completed. The showroom also operates as a retail point serving Viotia, Evia and Central Greece.
The expansion in Schimatari is completed, housing the company’s new state-of-the-art powder-coating facility and Logistics Center, bringing the total covered area in Schimatari to 7,500 sq.m.
The company’s machinery is enhanced with two new Cloos welding robots.
The company purchases another modern Salvagnini panel bender.
The privately owned 3,500 sq.m. facilities in the Sindos Industrial Area are completed. The Northern Greece store opens in October of the same year.
The central Athens store at 54 Iera Odos is expanded, doubling its floor area to improve customer service and allow greater stock capacity and a wider product range.
The central Athens store at 54 Iera Odos is renovated and equipped with the latest products from TH. DIMITROULAKOS S.A.
A new 3,400 sq.m. plot is acquired in Schimatari adjacent to the existing properties, adding to privately owned land that already totals 12,500 sq.m.
DIMITROULAKOS S.A. plans a 2,000 sq.m. building expansion together with state-of-the-art machinery representing an investment budget of €2,000,000.
